We pride ourselves in watching our residents succeed within our facility. On the right are testimonials from two of our former residents that have completed their rehabilitation at Hanover Hill.

Over a nine-year period, Mrs. Macek, a former registered nurse, relied on Hanover Hill on multiple separate occasions to help her recover from ailments including various orthopedic surgeries and the need for skilled nursing. During each stay, she received skilled rehabilitation which enabled her to quickly return to her home to pursue her active, independent lifestyle. During her second stay at Hanover Hill, Mrs. Macek began volunteering – visiting residents in their rooms, reading to them, or writing for them. Since then, she has continued to be a positive force here, taking the city bus to the residence weekly to organize church groups, participate in baking projects, and assisting residents in other helpful ways. Says Mrs. Macek, “I am so thankful for Hanover Hill. The staff is wonderful and has enabled me to recuperate and get on with my life. Volunteering here by helping others gives me a wonderful sense of fulfillment.”

3.jpgMr. Stiles

Mr. Stiles came to Hanover Hill after experiencing a traumatic fall at home. When Mr. Stiles was first admitted, he was not able to walk or stand and required intensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation. With the help of our rehab staff, Mr. Stiles was able to get back onto his feet again. He completed inpatient care at Hanover Hill, and continued therapy twice a week at the facility for the few months after his discharge. With the help of Hanover Hill, Mr. Stiles is now back at home and able to return to some of his favorite pastimes, which include gardening and attending community events with his wife. "Hanover Hill is a great place to stay while completing rehabilitative therapy. The staff is thoughtful and attentive. With their help, I now feel much more confident in my abilities."

2.jpgMrs. Lemire

Mrs. Lemire came to Hanover Hill after acute hospitalization for total hip replacement surgery. With the help of the rehabilitation department, she has been able to regain the strength to return home. Says Mrs. Lemire, "When you go to any rehab facility, I think there is a certain amount of trepidation. You remember what you were capable of, and you want to be able to recover and attain those abilities again. The staff at Hanover Hill is committed to getting you to that place. They are positive, gifted individuals with a unique talent. Hanover Hill treats every resident with the same compassion, caring and dedication regardless of physical capacity. The facility always makes the extra effort to provide choices to ensure that their residents are comfortable. There is a collaborative effort within the facility to make sure that every resident receives excellent care."
