Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Licensed Nursing Assistant delivers compassionate care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/patient satisfaction. LNA functions within the scope of practice of his/her license and according to facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Care for patients and residents in a manner conducive to safety and comfort. Provide assistance with fundamental skills, under the direction of the nursing supervisor, including daily dressing and hygiene routines, meal assistance, mobility and functional nursing care, wound and skin care, and other activities of daily living. Obtain and record clinical data (e.g., vital signs, heights, weights), conduct point of care testing (e.g., bladder scans, glucose monitoring, oxygen therapy), and other duties as indicated. Use standard precautions when caring for all patients. Adhere to Contact and/or Droplet Precautions as directed. Participate in the education of quality measures. Work daily to achieve desired results for each individual patient.
