Employment Type Full-time, salaried.
Work Hours Monday – Friday days, with flexibility required for special events & on-call needs; this position participates in a weekend on-call rotation with other nurse managers.
Experience Requirements Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related health care facility. Must have as a minimum, six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Qualifications

Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in NH. Must be compassionate, empathetic, encouraging. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes and educational programs for facility personnel. Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program that orients the new employee to our Employee Health program. Provide and/or facilitate CPR training for required nursing staff and maintain documentation. Provide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for Charge/Staff nurses. Assist support services in developing, implementing, and conducting in-service training programs relative to employee health and other identified programs. Attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession, as well as to maintain your license on current status. Assist nursing service personnel in performing nursing care procedures as necessary. Monitor and ensure nursing staff adherence to facility policies and procedures and demonstration of core values. Meet with the staff to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services, as necessary. Facilitate the scheduling and orienting of clinical students and educators. Regularly make rounds of to ensure the highest delivery of quality nursing care and identify opportunities through observation as well as actively collecting feedback from staff. Participate in nurse management weekend on-call rotation schedule.
