Applications for LTC must be completed prior to admission. We suggest that you call and schedule a tour, or contact our admissions director to discuss the application process in greater detail.

Residents with dementia lead happy and healthy lives at Hanover Hill under our highly qualified nursing staff. Our activities department also specializes in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, and tailors activities to our residents’ needs. For a schedule of our daily activities, click here.

Our facility and grounds are closely monitored by our dedicated staff and security cameras are located in numerous locations around the facility. Our main entrance doors as well as other doors in the facility are equipped with alarms. Some residents have secure care guards that assist us in ensuring their safety.

Our staff is comprised entirely with in-house therapists, which means we don’t contract with outside companies for services. This way, we feel that our residents can build a trusting relationship with our staff and achieve better results more quickly. We make occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists available to our residents at the facility to ensure a full recovery. Yes, residents receive weekend therapy as determined by their plan of care. We have a consistent weekend staff in order to ensure continuity of care.

You are welcome to come and share a meal with your friend or family member for a nominal fee. Our front desk is happy to help you with ordering a meal to enjoy with your loved one. Our staff can also assist you with finding a more private setting for your dining pleasure, if desired.  

What are the visiting hours?

Visitors are welcome to visit at any time. We have found that mid-mornings and evenings seem to be the best times to visit. You can always call ahead and speak with the nurse manager to determine the best time for you to visit your loved one. If you visit after 8 p.m., you will need to ring the doorbell located inside the front foyer and properly identity yourself before being allowed to enter the facility to ensure the safety and security of our residents, patients and staff.

Hanover Hill maintains consistent staffing ratios and assignments for optimal resident and patient care.

There are a few different items that can be brought to assist with a smooth transition into Hanover Hill. They include the following:

  • Enough wash-and-wear clothing for three to four days*
  • Any desired toiletries from home (we provide these to residents when needed)
  • Appropriate footwear (at least one pair of hard-soled shoes)
  • Medicare, social security and any insurance cards for copy
  • Advanced directives for medical records (living will or power of attorney)
*Please make sure that personal items brought from home are checked in at the front desk upon admission for proper labeling.
