Residents with dementia lead happy and healthy lives at Hanover Hill under our highly qualified nursing staff. Our activities department also specializes in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, and tailors activities to our residents’ needs. For a schedule of our daily activities, click here.
The security at our facility is top-notch, and maintained by professionals on a regular basis. Our main doors as well as other doors in the facility are equipped with alarms. There are also cameras located around the facility that are monitored at the front desk. Some residents have secure care guards that assist us in ensuring their safety.
Our staff is comprised entirely with in-house therapists, which means we don’t contract with outside companies for services. This way, we feel that our residents can build a trusting relationship with our staff and achieve better results more quickly. We make occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists available to our residents at the facility to ensure a full recovery. For more information on our rehabilitation services, click here.
Yes, residents receive weekend therapy as determined by their plan of care. We have a consistent weekend staff in order to ensure continuity of care.
Every attempt is made to place residents with similar needs and interests together. For more information, please contact Carol LoCicero, Admissions Director at email@example.com
You are welcome to come and share a meal with your friend or family member for a nominal fee. You will need to check in at the front desk upon arrival. Many visitors choose to sit and eat out in our sunroom, (pictured in the photo tour) with their loved one, so that they have a little more privacy. If needed, the dining staff will assist in finding you the perfect lunchtime location, which may also include the resident’s room. For a photo tour of the facility and best places to lunch, click here.
Visiting hours are flexible, but we recommend visits following morning care, and in the evenings in our comfortable lounge space. If you decide to visit after 8 p.m., there is a doorbell located inside the front foyer area that you will need to ring and identify yourself to the staff.
The ratio varies depending on acuity and census, or number of beds filled. Hanover Hill maintains consistent assignments for optimal continuity of care.
